Downsizing a Little Deeper

Just like a well trained scuba diver, we made a little decompression stop after the last downsizing and purging phase. The only difference is, we’re going the other way! Time to dive a little deeper…

This downsizing phase is still relatively easy because many of these items still have a lot of checks in the “no” columns. Nevertheless, a few of ’em are starting to see some “yes” checks and it’s time to dig in. Time to narrow that beam one or two ticks more and focus on what is truly important.

In phase 1, after getting past the first question, I required a unanimous “no” on the remaining 4. For this, phase 2, we tighten the thumbscrews a little and anything with 3 out of 4 “no” checks will be finding a new home.

Here’s a reminder of the questions I am asking myself:

– Does it work/function?
– Do I use it?
– Do I like it?
– Does it have sentimental significance?
– Do I need it more than someone else I know?
